Eid gift exchange

Organize an Eid gift exchange

Agree on the budget, occasion and handover together. Wichtlify runs the secret draw and gives each person their own link.

  • Prepare a secret gift-recipient draw
  • Set exclusions before drawing
  • Share personal links instead of one public list

With Wichtlify

Turn the gift idea into a secret draw

The organizer creates the group, adds the people taking part and saves exclusions before drawing. Wichtlify prevents self-matches and gives each participant one gift recipient.

That keeps the draw private for families, friend groups or community circles while the group keeps full control over the occasion, gift rules, budget and handover.

Wichtlify handles

  • Participant list
  • Self-match prevention
  • Exclusions before drawing
  • Personal links
Each result stays personal in the Wichtlify web app
Each result stays personalEveryone opens their own draw and sees only who they are buying for.

Group rules

Keep budget, gift style and handover clear before drawing

Wichtlify runs the secret draw. The group still decides the gift rules, budget, date, handover and whether people reveal who gave each gift later.

If the occasion should stay more neutral, prepare a general gift exchange draw.

Agree before the draw

  • Who takes part
  • Budget or range
  • Gift tone
  • Date and handover

Sharing

Personal links fit the channels your group already uses

The organizer needs a Wichtlify account. Participants can open their personal link in the browser and see who they are giving to.

You can share those links through the channel your group already uses. Wichtlify does not automatically deliver them through WhatsApp or another messenger; the important part is that each person receives the correct link.

When sharing links

  • Send the right link
  • Do not forward links
  • Include the rules
  • Send questions to the organizer
Wishes next to the draw in the Wichtlify web app
Wishes next to the drawWishes and gift progress are available where they help with buying the gift.

Match the format

Agree on the exchange format before drawing

A visible gift exchange where everyone may see the outcome usually needs an open draw or clear group rules. Wichtlify is useful when each person secretly draws another person.

Open exchange games can be part of the group format, but dice actions, swaps, steals and the live table flow stay outside Wichtlify.

Decide outside the draw

  • Public winner lists
  • Task assignment
  • Team splitting
  • Live swap play

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I use Wichtlify for an Eid gift exchange?

Yes. Wichtlify fits when each person should secretly draw another person and receive the result through a personal link.

Does Wichtlify set religious or family rules?

No. Occasion, gift rules, budget and handover stay group decisions. Wichtlify helps with the secret draw and personal links.

Does Wichtlify publish one full result list?

No. Wichtlify is built for secret personal draws. Each participant opens their own link and sees only who they will give to.

Who needs an account?

The organizer needs a Wichtlify account. Participants can open their personal link in the browser.

Can I keep one person from drawing a specific person?

Yes. Exclusions must be saved before the draw. If too many combinations are blocked, the draw may not be possible.

Does Wichtlify send the links automatically through WhatsApp?

No. The organizer shares the personal links through the channel the group already uses. Wichtlify creates the links, but it does not automatically deliver them through messenger apps.

Is this the same as an open exchange game?

Not exactly. Open exchange games may have visible table rules. Wichtlify helps with secret personal assignments, but it does not control the live exchange game.
